First In-House Actuary

New York, NY / Hybrid

Our client, a successful and well backed startup, is looking for their First In-house Actuary. This is an excellent opportunity to join a group that includes seasoned Actuaries as a part of their executive management team who will value and support the contributions you make to their strategic growth. This role will primarily focus on commercial lines pricing and modeling across their entire portfolio.

The incumbent will be well supported, but will also need to be self-guided and have the ability to communicate findings and insights with leadership, brokers, and clients. As the company grows, this position will grow with it, potentially into a broader role with management responsibilities. Compensation is open for the right candidate, and strong performance will be well rewarded. Comp: $110-150k plus bonus based on company and individual performance. (#53307)

• Bachelor's Degree.
• ACAS or FCAS designation.
• 5-7 years of actuarial experience.
• Commercial lines pricing experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative background.
• Strong communication skills.
• Programming skills would be a major asset.
