Description

Senior Business Development Officer 

Senior Business Development Officer, reporting directly to the Western Region Manager.

Primarily responsible for deal origination, structuring, and the execution of asset–based facilities as well as secondarily sourcing factoring and purchase order facilities.

Geographic Territory: must have a network of referrals in Northern California, Pacific Northwest, Southwest, and/or other western US regions.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drives dialog with prospective clients on behalf of Rosenthal & Rosenthal at the C- Suite level.
  • Generate referrals from existing relationships and referral sources
  • Provides advice and purposes compelling solutions and wins mandates.
  • Orchestrates productive marketing sales and business development strategies as well as new business pipeline and sales plans to meet budgeted objectives
  • Continually monitor practices of competition and report findings to senior management as appropriate
  • Exhibits business and credit judgment to provide balanced assessments of transactions. Leverages credit skills to identify and mitigate key risks that could impact the transaction’s execution.
  • Actively participate in Trade Shows, Speaking engagements, Networking events, and Associations.
  • Knowledge of financial statements, assist with underwriting and structuring asset-based or factoring loans to meet business objectives
  • Overseeing the process from start to finish in conjunction with underwriting team
  • Closes transactions in accordance with Rosenthal & Rosenthal internal policies


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong Financial, credit, and analytical skills
  • Strategic thinker’s ability to assimilate complex information and make decisions with conviction
  • Excellent interpersonal as well as negotiation skills
  • Strong grasp of business and legal concepts and the risks associated therewith on asset-based financings
  • Highly focused and able to clearly communicate issues
  • Self-starter, a high level of energy, enthusiasm, motivation and ability to work remotely. Team player able to facilitate strong partnerships.
  • Excellent presentation skills

Required Experience:

  • Educational background (Degree) – BS/BA finance or related concentration preferred
  • Years of experience – 5+ years in asset-based lending or factoring sales
  • Salary compensation & bonus – range of $150,000-$225,000 depending on experience + commission, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, HSA, FSA, Long Term Care Insurance, Life Insurance, Short Term and Long Term Disability, Profit Sharing.
