Description

Quasar Associates, a CPA IT Audit and Advisory firm based out of Washington, DC, seeks IT Auditor looking for remote work arrangement on contract basis.  Target is 30 hours/week, all-year round, with breaks for holidays and vacation.  “Spot” travel to various audit locations around the U.S is possible, but considered negotiable. Otherwise, this is a virtual office position, with requirement to match as close as possible to Quasar “home” office working on U.S. east-coast time (EST).

Requirements

We have an immediate need for an IT auditor focused on SOC 2 audit engagements, with contracted rate commensurate with experience and physical location (if other than United States).  Minimum 1-2 years IT controls audit experience is required to apply for this job, but looking for all levels (senior auditor to Manager or Director). CPA or CISA preferred but not a hard requirement.  90% of the position involves SOC 2 auditing, 10% involves “other”.  Ideal candidate has worked in public acctg with either Big 4 or small firm, or corporate environment assisting IT audit effort, and must be familiar with how to audit, workpaper and review techniques, etc.  (No entry-level auditor candidates should apply for this job.)
