BRAZOS RIVER AUTHORITY: The BRA is a growing dynamic organization striving to position itself for the future and anticipate the needs of its customers. The Authority desires individuals who are team & customer-focused, embrace diversity, seek innovative and have creative ways of conducting business, and a commitment to empower and develop staff. The BRA was created by the Texas Legislature in 1929 specifically for the purpose of developing & managing the water resources of an entire river basin. Today, the Authority’s staff of over 260 develops & distributes water supplies, provides water & wastewater treatment, monitors water quality, & pursues water conservation through public education programs.
