CHFA strengthens Colorado by investing in affordable housing and community development. We offer financial resources to strengthen homeownership, affordable rental housing, and businesses.

Our participating lenders and community partners help us deploy our resources statewide. Together with our partners, CHFA has invested more than $16.7 billion in Colorado’s economy. These resources have helped:

103,041 Colorado homebuyers achieve homeownership;
134,970 households attend homebuyer education classes held statewide;
66,208 affordable rental housing units be developed or preserved; and
5,037 businesses access capital to support 63,296 jobs.

CHFA’s work revitalizes neighborhoods and creates jobs. We believe everyone in Colorado should have the opportunity for housing stability and economic prosperity.

CHFA’s mission is to strengthen Colorado by investing in affordable housing and community development.

We were created in 1973 by the Colorado General Assembly to address the shortage of affordable housing in the state. In 1982, when the Colorado economy was experiencing economic difficulties,
C?HFA began making loans to businesses.????
