Established in 1983, Dean Health Plan is the insurance services subsidiary of Dean Health System and SSM Health Care. It maintains a position of leadership in insurance services through a physician-led integrated health system that improves the health status of its members and delivers a superior level of service and care.
Dean Health Plan earned the "Highest Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in the Minnesota/Wisconsin Region, three years in a row," from the prestigious J.D. Power and Associates 2011 U.S. Member Health Insurance Plan StudySM. Dean Health Plan also holds an Excellent Accreditation - the highest accreditation available - from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its commercial HMO product and has received the Best of Business Award in the state from Corporate Report Wisconsin for the past four years.
