St Helier | Jersey
We are seeking an experienced Senior Client Accountant to join a highly respected family office environment in Jersey. This is a hybrid role reporting to the Head of Client Accounting and offers a salary of £58,000-£60,000 plus bonus and benefits. This position will suit a qualified accountant with strong experience in client accounting, trust and company structures, and wealth management. Previous exposure to a client-facing environment, particularly within wealth management, would be highly advantageous.
The Role
You will work closely with the Head of Client Accounting and wider Family Office teams, supporting the preparation and review of financial information, reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements. The role also includes assisting with team organisation, workflow management, training, and the technical review of reporting outputs. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial statements, investment reporting, management reporting, and tax reporting.
- Reconciling investment, bank, and loan
- Recording transactions across wealth management structures, including companies and trusts.
- Reviewing automated bank entries and resolving rejected items.
- Supporting process improvement, automation, and implementation of new reporting tools.
We are looking for someone with:
- Minimum 5 years' PQE.
- Experience within the trust and company industry.
- Qualification as ACA, ACCA, or CAT, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of multi-currency accounting, investment and treasury products, and UK tax.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in wealth management, family office, or a similar client accounting environment would be highly desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist Jersey-based team in a senior role with genuine scope to contribute to both technical accounting and team development. The position offers a strong package, hybrid working, and the chance to work on complex structures in a high-performing environment.
Candidates must already be legally entitled to work in Jersey and must hold all necessary, valid approvals, permissions, or authorisations required to take up employment there, as the employer is unable to sponsor or provide work eligibility support for this role. This means you already have the right to work, such as Entitled or Entitled for Work; British and Irish citizens also do not need a work permit.
